Challenge
In 2014, 2engage Directors Ed Morris and Philip Goss were invited to participate in the Drama Connecting People conference in Narva, Estonia. Funded by the Grundtvig European Partnership, the conference focused on using drama to work with marginalized groups in Estonia. Representing the University of Chester, 2engage co-created an interactive session that explored the theme of celebrating diversity through drama exercises and process theatre techniques.
The conference brought together artists and educators from across Europe to collaborate with marginalized communities in Estonia.
Aims
- To share best practices and engage in workshops and seminars alongside European educators.
- To take part in helpful dialogue and skills sharing with educators from across Europe.
Outcomes
- Co-created and delivered an interactive session on celebrating difference, using drama exercises and process theatre techniques.
- Contributed to the overall conference, working with educators and marginalized groups.
- Participated in theatre-based workshops in Sillamäe and at the University of Tartu Narva College.
- Established connections and networks with educators and practitioners from across Europe.
