Overview of The University Challenge HE Awareness film

The University Challenge: Digital’ is an informative video discussing university. This new adaptation is a collection of stories, ideas and advice for those considering going to university, brought to you by two people who’ve been through it; our 2engage Directors. Using scenes from an original theatre performance, talking heads and interview-style questions, we cover financial worries; university life; common misconceptions; advice given by friends and family; and alternative options to consider.

It's a story about the two first generation University Graduates and their road to getting a degree. How did they make when they believed they couldn't. Sharing the expereinces and numeorus push and pull factors that made the decision to become a student even more difficult.

In a world where university is perhaps considered over-saturated or a ‘waste of time’, it is important to look at all the options available. This video is ideal for outreach and widening participation events for sixth forms and colleges to help answer any questions your young people may have about university. We draw on our experience within the educational sector, giving honest, expert and accessible advice.
- Highlights university is for people of all backgrounds
- Highlights the importance of continuing education.
- Discusses important non-academic aspects of university.
- Dispels myths and preconceptions about higher education.
- Delivers essential facts and useful information.
The University Challenge Video was such an important contribution to our event. It covered exactly what we needed; making choices about University, University being an option to those that might have never considered it before, student loans and finance and the emotional and wellbeing side to going to University. It’s informative, entertaining and all done with a sense of humour which was really captivating for our audience.
