Overview: Parental Engagement in HE Session
It is an informative video discussing what comes next after college or sixth form. We present a collection of stories, ideas and advice for the guardians of those considering going to university. It is brought to you by our 2engage team who return to their own University roots. Using scenes from an original theatre performance and interview-style questions, we cover student finances; common misconceptions; advice given by friends and family; career prospects and alternative options to consider.
This video is ideal for outreach events and parents evenings at sixth forms and colleges. It proves university is for people of all backgrounds, addresses common concerns and highlights the importance of lifelong learning. We draw on our experience within the educational sector, giving honest, expert and accessible advice
- “Is university worth it anymore?”
- “Is it the right decision for my young person?”
- “What are your career prospects with a degree?”
- "Will my child be in debt for the rest of their life?”
- “What are the alternative options to university?”
